Owen House Wedding Barn

One of the most unique venues out of the list is this family run barn on a working farm. Owen House Wedding Barn is nestled in Mobberley, Cheshire. Exclusive use and accommodation for close friends and family, this wedding venue is a personal favourite. 


The morning of your wedding starts in the The Beauty Shed where you have access to salon chairs, hair dryers and complimentary prosecco. Linked to the ceremony room, you will arrive on time looking perfect. Your partner can then be in the BAA-ber Shed where they can enjoy some table football, beer and a personal barber if you need one on the day.


The ceremony room is next door to the main barn making it a short trip from the end of the ceremony to the start of your cocktail hour. Adorned with fairy lights, the ceremony room still has plenty of space for you to add your own special touch to the room.


If you want creative couples portraits then The Shooting Gallery is the perfect place for your photographer or wedding videographer to get the best shots no matter the weather. It really is a unique space that has been well thought out.


The remainder of the day will then take place within the Barn, food will be served by The Cheshire Dining Experience, toasts will be made to your friends, family and the love you both share. After this the room will be turned into a night to remember from your favourite band, DJ or saxophonist.

Wrenbury Hall

Wrenbury Hall is an exclusive use venue that has stood for over 400 years. Along the tree lined driveway you’ll be met by this grand building with its original sandstone exterior. When you hire Wrenbury Hall you have access to the whole downstairs space which includes the Oak Room, the Drawing Room, the Orangerie, the Champagne Bar, the Champagne Lounge, the grounds and the woodlands. 


Your ceremony can take place in one of three places, the Oak Room which meets traditional with the contemporary. The Rose Pagoda where you and your guests can be outside enjoying the sun with your vows, or, the Orangerie which is a beautiful light filled room for the intimate couple. All great spots for your wedding photographer or your wedding videographer to capture the day as you want it.


The wedding breakfast and toasts can be in either the Oak Room with its hand painted ceiling or the Orangerie which is a space you can make your own. The team at Wrenbury Hall are a pleasure to be around making every step of the day stress free.

Delamere Manor

Once owned by OBE winning Gary Barlow, Delamere Manor has been transformed into one of the most luxurious, high end venues Cheshire has to offer. Over 100 acres, this exclusive use venue allows for indoor and 4 outdoor civil ceremony options. Morning prep through to the evening celebrations have been meticulously thought out to ensure your wedding day is the best it can possibly be.


After your ceremony you can enjoy cocktail hour on the terrace or the Courtyard. With so much to see on the grounds you can enjoy couples portraits near the lake, in the gardens, where if you’re willing to explore enough you can walk through a tree tunnel and then make your way back to the Manor house. Your photographer or wedding videographer will be spoilt for choice.


The wedding breakfast is catered by award winning Cheeky Chilli served in the glass fronted courtyard with fairy light canopy. The evening then takes you and your guests into the nightclub, which you can keep secret from your guests for an added surprise. The nightclub used to be Gary Barlow’s recording studio so it’s very fitting that more music is played here.

Old Palace Chester

If you’ve been to Cheshire, you’ve probably been to Chester. Rich in history, it’s the perfect venue for this Georgian building, built in 1751. Another Exclusive use venue with 23 rooms to host your friends and family, Old Palace is the perfect venue for a city wedding.

Your morning preparations are held in a The Morning Room where there are hair and make up stations, a full length mirror and ample natural light to ensure everything looks perfect. You can then use the palace suite for your bridal portraits where your photographer can make use of the 3 tall windows for lighting or your wedding videographer to get little detail shots of the dress.

There are 3 options for your civil ceremony, the light-filled River Room or the larger Ballroom for indoor ceremonies or, the Garden Terrace if the weather permits. Cocktail hour then carries on either outside or the Peploe lounge inside. This is when you can either choose to stay on site or make your way into Chester to grab some city shots for your portrait session.


The wedding breakfast can be tailored to suit your needs or desires. You can work with the chefs to really get the flavours you enjoy. The room is then transformed for you evening guests to arrive and party the night away.

Peckforton Castle

A wedding venue that can accommodate exclusive use, Peckforton Castle lets you curate the perfect fairytale wedding. Oak tree of Peover

An oak framed venue set in the heart of Cheshire,The Oaktree of Peover has set itself a name for being one of Cheshire's best wedding venues. Exclusive use of the whole venue and the grounds means you and your guests can really take in your wedding in a private setting.


Your civil ceremony can take place in the Ladybird room, named as such because during construction the venue had an influx of ladybirds. Cocktail hour will then take place within the Acorn barn and outside. With the grounds being so magnificent your photographer and wedding videographer will have plenty to capture. The Acorn Room will then be turned into an evening reception you’ll never forget. Welcome your band or if you have a smaller wedding, the party can take place within the Ladybird room.

Merrydale Manor

Colshaw Hall

The original venue for the Irlam family, Colshaw Hall was once a family home and now a luxury wedding venue in Knutsford. Merrydale Manor being the sister venue of Colshaw Hall ran by David’s brother, Michael Irlam.


Colshaw welcomes couples for an exclusive use, all in one, wedding venue. Over 300 acres to explore, a civil ceremony in The Stables where you can be transported by the Colshaw team, cocktail hour within the Pavilion or outside and then your wedding breakfast in the Peel Suite.


With the venue having so much to offer you can cater your couples portraits to how you want them. You can get the natural, diffused light contrasted with shadows in the Hall. Combermere Abbey

The Combermere Abbey estate is situated just on the Cheshire border near Shropshire. With over a thousand years of history, Gothic architecture, Edwardian glasshouse, enchanting waters and ancient woodlands you can see why this Cheshire wedding venue is one to look at.


This exclusive use venue allows for civil ceremonies in the Edwardian Glasshouse. This has lots of natural light for your ceremony with an eye-catching tree in the centre of the room. Surrounded by the gardens you can finish your ‘I do’s’ and then enjoy your cocktail hour outside.


Your wedding videographer can then take you around the estate for your couples portraits and grab intimate, natural moments between you two to help curate the film you envision. Sandhole Oak Barn

This venue sits next to a tranquil lake and acres of green luscious fields. Sandhole Oak Barn is one of Cheshire's most sought after barn venues. Exclusive use and accommodation for close friends and family means you can rest assured all those closest to you can enjoy the whole day. 


Your ceremony can take place either inside the barn or outside under the clock tower. After the ceremony you and your guests can enjoy the cocktail hour outside looking out to the lake. Couples shoots can start on the driveway, moving to the Sandhole farm B&B gardens, back to The Oak Barn where you will rejoin your guests. 


The wedding breakfast will be served in the Oak Barn with food made fresh by Top Table. After the toasts the curtain to the dancefloor will be unveiled to wow your guests with either your DJ or band of choice. As you can see there is a lot to choose from and these are only a few of the venues available in Cheshire. It’s important to remember that this list is in no particular order and that you should visit the venues you like the look of. From a wedding videographers point of view, they are all perfect and have their own unique look.
