‘How Josh and Lauren met’

Josh and Lauren met at the University of Chester whilst they were both studying. Josh was working at the student union bar at the time and when Lauren walked in he had to spark a conversation. Josh works for a famous football team as a physio and Lauren flies around the world with her role. They planned their wedding at Aswarby Rectory ensuring every element of their wedding had a vibrant theme. The florist at this wedding was Annie Jowett who made light work of making the bouquet and the floral arrangements throughout the venue, perfect for the big day.

The couple hired me as their Aswarby Rectory wedding videographer which was a privilege. For Laurens wedding, she wore a dress from Dotty Bridal, make up and hair was done by the amazing Jessica’s Bridal and hair by Willerton White. This was the look Lauren wanted and was achieved flawlessly as you can see in the videos and images in this post.

Tony....this is AMAZING! Thank you so much, what a treat!

In the morning Lauren was prepped in the bridal suite in the house of Aswarby Rectory with her mother and two bridesmaids. As a videographer I always say hello in the morning without my camera so that everyone can get used to me and before putting a camera in the room. With only two bridesmaids in the morning, it was extremely calm, working with Natalie Lauren on photo was a real pleasure . The weather was a little cloudy in the morning but it did brighten up as the day went on. Once Lauren was ready we had the first look with her father at the bottom of the beautiful staircase adorned with florals. The reaction was perfect, he was in awe seeing his little girl in a wedding dress all grown up.

The ceremony was perfect, Josh held back his tears after seeing Lauren walk down the aisle with lip trembling and a beaming smile. He was ready to spend the rest of his life with the most perfect partnership The ceremony room at this venue was intimate and held such beautiful light behind the couple. Theirs vows were heartfelt and meaningful, Josh described how he has finally become his true self with Lauren and that he cannot wait to spend the rest of his life with her.

Cocktail hour started with music being played by the amazing Pedal Tones. It’s important for me to allow the couple space after the ceremony to mingle with their guests and have a chance to really enjoy their wedding day. This is the perfect moment to capture candid shots of laughter, smiles and important people of the day. After the photographer was finished with the group photos we took Josh and Lauren away for some intimate moments between the two of them. You can see if Josh’s eyes how much he cares and loves Lauren.

The wedding breakfast started with a speeches from the Josh’s brother, talking about how proud he is of Josh and happy he is for them both. After the wedding breakfast there was four speeches from Katie (bridesmaid), father of the bride, James (best man) and finally Josh.

The evening started with the traditional cutting of the cake that was made by Bakes by Sonia. The first dance was orchestrated by the three piece band performing covers of classic pop and indie songs. The dance floor was packed from start to finish, The Pedal Tones really got everyone up and dancing which led to some amazing footage. It was a pleasure capturing this wedding day in Lincolnshire and a venue that I can’t wait to shoot in again.

These are Lauren’s words on ‘the best wedding videographer’: “The video is amazing, we both really love it and happy for any sharing of it. Wow we absolutely love all the films, they have cheered us up greatly!”
