‘How Georgia and Chris met’
Georgia and Chris’ story began at school, where Chris, a year ahead, caught Georgia’s eye. As with many young love stories, it was in the summer following his departure from sixth form that Chris added Georgia on Snapchat, leading to their first date at Starbucks shortly after. From that moment, they’ve been inseparable. With 11 years of shared memories leading up to their wedding, their bond has only grown stronger.
After nine years together, Chris proposed in the romantic setting of Rome, during a sunset in a stunning botanical garden. The couple celebrated their engagement with a few blissful days on the Amalfi Coast, immersed in the beauty of Italy’s finest landscapes.
Professionally, Georgia is a dedicated doctor, while Chris is a talented graphic designer. Outside of their careers, they share a passion for staying active, enjoying regular trips to the gym, and cherishing time spent with their close-knit circle of friends and family.
They chose their wedding venue, Gileston Manor, due to its beautiful architecture, orangery feel ceremony room and the option for accommodation on site for their guests. The florist at this wedding was Jan Lima Flowers who made light work of making the bouquet and the floral arrangements throughout the ceremony, perfect for the big day.
The couple hired me as their Gileston Manor wedding videographer which was a real privilege. For Georgias wedding, she wore a dress from Rosa Clará, make up and hair was executed by the amazing Sarah Evans. This was the look Georgia wanted and was achieved flawlessly as you can see in the videos and images in this article.
“We absolutely love our Film!”
The day began with a scenic five-hour drive from Cheshire, where I was warmly greeted by the attentive staff. After a brief exchange with Georgia, I immediately set about capturing the first establishing shots for their film. The morning unfolded serenely, with both Georgia and Chris remaining remarkably composed, their only slight nerves adding to the anticipation of the day. The talented Lloyd Williams, who was the photographer, proved to be a pleasure to work with, bringing a calm professionalism to the atmosphere. While Lloyd focused on capturing the groomsmen, I turned my attention to the guests arriving, capturing those candid, fleeting moments of excitement before returning to Georgia. When I saw her in her dress, it was simply stunning. I positioned her by a soft window light, allowing the natural radiance to enhance the elegance of her gown—creating a moment of effortless beauty that truly reflected the essence of the day.
The ceremony had newsletters to describe how Georgia and Chris met with images from their trip to the Amalfi coast. Chris held back his tears as Georgia was accompanied by her Mother and Father. After being together since high school you can only imagine the anticipation for this moment. Having personal vows really made the ceremony truly special to their day, hearing words that have been resonating in their minds about each other during such an important day was something to cherish for a long time. Just after the ceremony Georgia and Chris instructed their closest family members to meet them at a certain spot at the venue so they could share a drink together before meeting the rest of their guests.
Cocktail hour started with a confetti toss in front of the venue. It’s important at this moment for me to allow the couple space after the ceremony to converse with their guests and have a chance to really enjoy their wedding day. This is the perfect moment to capture candid shots of laughter, smiles and important people of the day. The couple didn’t want to spend too long taking couples portraits so me and Lloyd found the most aesthetic locations for composition and light.
As the guests walked into the wedding breakfast they each had a note, hand written by the couple with a little message from them. Georgia and Chris were welcomed in with napkins in the air and a room full of enthusiasm for celebrating their love. The toasts were after the meal and started with Chris’ Father, Georgia’s Father, Chris and finally his brother who was the best man.
To entertain the guests after the meal the couple had their favourite drinks in the orangery area where a very special moment took place. Georgias family composed their own arrangement of a popular song adding in their own lyrics that were reflective of the couple. This gave me the idea to start their film with this song and give the footage a VHS tape look. For me this adds a touch of nostalgia to the intro. Once the reception room was ready the guests were given sparklers and a wall of limoncello, homage to the couples love for Italy, SALUTI. The evening was filled with dancing, bongos, a saxophonist and nothing but smiles from everyone at the wedding. I can’t thank Georgia and Chris enough for hiring me for their wedding.
These are Georgia’s words on ‘the best wedding videographer’: “We have watched them on repeat all weekend and were brought to tears reminiscing over our special day. Thank you for capturing it so beautifully, we are so grateful.”
The kind words from Georgia and Chris about ‘the best wedding videographer’ …
“You captured our day perfectly, from the compositions to the raw emotion, thank you Tony”
